How It All Began
Hey there. My name is Demetria…and I’ll share with you how I started podcasting.
In 2006, I decided to begin teaching podcasting and developed my first program, The Internet Radio Podcast Bootcamp, a live teleseminar and virtual course that I taught to many business owners who went on to create their own podcasts.
Soon after, my local news station came to my house for a quick interview to chat with me about how I was using this new medium of podcasting to reach others with my faith message.
When I started this work I didn’t realize how much I would grow to develop a deep passion to help women elevate their message and release their voice to the world.
Whether through a brand and website design, a podcast launch, or a content creation strategy, I found myself at different phases of my own business helping women with these various aspects of their business
As a child growing up, I didn’t always feel confident in my calling to speak, and I sometimes allowed my voice to go unheard.
Thankfully, with the support of my church community and parents, I learned to grow into my songwriting and singing gift, which lay the foundation for using my voice and which resulted in my being magnetically attracted to the microphone. I knew that I was born to speak, even though I felt shy, and that I had a message of encouragement and empowerment to share with the world.
Whether you are an introvert, or feel that what you have to share doesn’t count, I’m here to tell you that your voice truly does matter.
I have helped countless women entrepreneurs launch their podcasts since 2006. I am motivated to help many more women in the upcoming years, and I would love for you to allow me to help you craft your unique message and begin sharing with the world through podcasting.
My Podasting Journey Time Line
2004
I began my first podcast.
I started a website design business and my very first online community site for women of faith (Christian Ladies Connect). This is also when I began an online radio show (Christian Ladies Talk Radio) which later became a podcast.
2006
I launched my first podcast coaching services.
During this year, I began a few different podcasts: GodCast News, Publish A Podcast, and Christian Ladies Business Radio. I also launched the Internet Radio Podcast Bootcamp virtual courses and began coaching and teaching small businesses and female entrepreneurs how to launch their own podcasts for business and ministry.
2012
Started a virtual homeschool community.
I was blessed to be able to make an influence in the homeschool community with the Christian Homeschool Moms Podcast. I was able to reach over 20,000 listens and an extremely engaged audience who felt encouraged by my weekly content to assist them in homeschooling their children.
2016
Wrote a book and launched a podcast with it.
With the launch of my book in 2016, “Mompreneurs In Heels: A Guide to Passionate, Purposeful Blogging”, I wanted to launch a podcast to accompany it. This podcast was dedicated to helping moms start an online business with a blog.
2021
Needed to rebrand and help women solopreneurs (not just bloggers).
Right after the pandemic, I felt the calling to create a podcast focusing on uplifting women solopreneurs of faith.
